I am a fifth-year Computer Science PhD candidate at the University of California, Irvine, advised by Prof. Ioannis Panageas. During my PhD I have held several research positions: this fall (2026) I am visiting MIT to work with Prof. Negin Golrezaei, in Summer 2026 I was a Research Scientist at Adobe, in Summer 2025 I visited Northwestern University hosted by Prof. Edith Elkind, and in Summer 2024 I visited UIUC to work with Prof. Ruta Mehta.

Before my PhD, I completed an M.Sc. in the D-MTEC Department at ETH Zurich, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (minor in Computer Science) at Sharif University of Technology, where I worked on machine learning applications in medicine with Prof. Babak Khalaj. I also held research positions at the KOF Swiss Economic Institute in Switzerland and KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.

My research focuses on how to get the most capability out of AI models and agents under fixed budgets of compute, data, and cost. I design algorithms for the allocation decisions this requires: which model or agent should handle a task, how much inference-time compute to allocate, and how to distribute scarce computational resources across competing workloads. My PhD develops the foundations for this work: algorithms with provable guarantees on efficiency, fairness, and strategic robustness for the markets that govern AI, from fairly allocating compute to workloads that arrive unpredictably to designing pricing and allocation mechanisms for data and model APIs. The common thread is making AI systems work well under real resource constraints and in the presence of strategic users.
